Eric & Jessica were introduced in a science class at Clarkson University by groomsman Ben in 2008. They began dating in 2010, the same year that they graduated from Clarkson University.
Shortly after graduation & leaving school, Eric moved to New York from his home town of Poultney, VT for work. Less than a year later, in 2012 they moved into their first apartment together in Ballston Spa, NY. This was also the year that they traveled to Ireland together.

In the spring of 2013 they moved into their second apartment and adopted Brody.

On September 20th 2013 Eric proposed during a picnic in Peebles Island State Park.
Currently they are living and working in the Albany area of NY with plans to buy a house soon.
